WASMO & You | Internships | Volunteer | Vacancies
|
| |
WASMO offers fresh graduates the possibility to complement their academic knowledge with grassroots level experience.
WASMO has launched an internship programme with the aim to groom well informed, sensitised water supply and sanitation engineers and managers that can manage the sector in a sustainable manner. It offers on the job training for students taking part in post graduation courses in engineering, business and environmental management, social science and other relevant fields. |
| |
| WASMO believes that an internship is a worthy experience that can enhance learning and help an intern acquire knowledge in a new subject. Putting into practice what has been learnt in the classroom is critical to the learning process. WASMO facilitates this process by exposing interns to 'on site' work in its project villages, field offices and headquarters where they get real life experience in the organisation's areas of operation and its modus operandi. Simultaneously, WASMO benefits from the intern's knowledge and fresh ideas. |
| |
| The WASMO Internship Programme provides an opportunity to students to understand the water sector in a holistic manner and contribute meaningfully and effectively. It provides a chance for orientation, exposure and training; a chance to develop future leadership. |
| |
| Duration |

| The duration of internships varies depending on the needs of the intern, but would normally be between one and six months. |
