In the early years the focus of IEC was on brand building for WASMO and importance of community management for drinking water supply and sanitation.
As various programmes gathered strength IEC was developed on a wide range of themes such as formation and functions of Pani Samiti, community contribution, water quality, chlorination, sanitation, O&M etc. IEC involves a variety of media ranging from print medium posters, pamphlets, booklets, hand-books etc.
The IEC material is mostly developed in Gujarati since it caters to the rural audience. Some of the print material has also been brought out in English in order to widen its reach. |
