An important aspect of partnerships is the association with universities through WASMO’s internship programme and the involvement of volunteers from various walks of life who wish to contribute towards rural development.
The association is a mutually rewarding experience. The students get a hand on experience of working at the grassroots level, while on the other hand the various studies taken on by the students often helps WASMO get feedback on the status of work done in the villages as also background information for planning of new interventions. At the village level the community too benefit from the interactions with the students and volunteers.
The internship programme in particular has helped WASMO groom fresh talent and prepare it to work in WATSAN sector. |
