This project is aimed at
addressing water issues in rural areas related to water supply
and quality, optimum water utilisation, sanitation, water
pricing, community participation, training and awareness.
Another objective is to promote new innovative technologies in
water and water resource management. |

Programme coverage |

|
128 villages of Jamnagar,
174 villages of Kheda and 88 villages of Mehsana districts. All
the identified villages have severe water scarcity and quality
problems and are not planned and covered in any of the existing
water supply schemes. This project would benefit a population of
5,02,705. |

Programme components |

|
Creation of in-village
water supply and distribution networks, water resource
management, rooftop rainwater harvesting structures in school
and public buildings, water and sanitation facility in schools
in these identified villages. |
