WRM measures to
reduce run-off and to recharge and improve the quality
of groundwater have been adopted in all project areas. They include
construction of check dams, tidal control structures, injection
wells, gabion structures, gully plugs, vegetative plugs, ponds
and rooftop water harvesting structures. Pasture lands are also
being developed to enhance rainwater capture, conserve soil
moisture and provide fodder for cattle. |
